The brand new mix series from katipoaudio.com features the freshest talent in electronic music from across the globe. Kicking things off – Bulb, one of Russia’s brightest stars gets things underway with a mix of his influences and favorite tracks from the past 3-5 years. This mix covers a broad range of tracks and tempos and spans labels such as – NonPlus, Exit, Soul:R and Darkestral.

INTERVIEW:
1. Tell us what flavor the mix is and genres it encompasses?
As you can see this mix is not about dubplates. This is kind of look back and recollecting good minimal flows in drum and bass. Hope you enjoy my Time Mashine.
2. Why did u choose these particular tracks?
All these tracks are my personal favorites. In some degree i did this mix for myself to remember all this goodies.
3. How did you construct the mix, what technology did you use?
You may not believe me but i did all my mixes in FL Studio with help of EQ 🙂
4. Any new releases from yourself you can tell us about?
Yesterday came out our collab with Cutworks and Julia Marks on 12″ via Occulti Music.

5. Are there any particular tracks/producers that are standing out for you at the moment.
I’m not really into watching at the scene at the moment. I found a lot of inspiration in indie, ambient and different electronica these days. And its mostly the music of previous decade or even century. The only thing that i watch – Auxiliary.
6. What does the rest of 2013 hold for you?
New cities and new music i guess. And i hope i will finish and show everyone something what i was currently working on.
7. If you could choose any city to live in where would that be?
I think I’m close to that I almost do not care where to live. I prefer traveling. And I really love my “village-like” city. But some think tells me that i move somewhere one day.
8. Whats your all time favorite food?
Oh, god, can i answer just “Food”? I really love to eat.
9. Where was you favorite gig you have played?
It was the great 22:22 gig in Kiev this winter. Great people, great music, great atmosphere.
10. Dubstep or Drum n Bass?
Electronica!
