  • Nickbee

    Nickbee

Nickbee is one of Ukraine’s brightest young stars, with releasing on some of the scenes biggest bass music labels including Invisible, Dispatch & Horizons to name a few. Not sticking to one
genre or sound Nickbee is known for his amazing production ethos, versatility and his enormous collaborations with the likes of local Ukraine producer, Sunchase. The dedication to his craft is really paying off, with his first single on Solace due out very soon, the single features the vocal
talents of Zelda Marshall and along- side collaboration partner Malk.

Nickebee & Malk Feat. Zelda Marshall – Stars

The first track on the single ‘Stars’ builds it’s way up from subtle pads and clicky atmospheres into a very loose and catchy beat. Delay’s and reverbs drive the beat forward as the dreamy vocals of ‘Zelda Marshall’ drift over the music. Piano harmony’s and warm sub bass fill out the bottom end. Sweeping atmospheres and percussion bursts the track over the 2nd drop into the full vocal riff. A sublime piece of music perfect for anytime day or night.

Nickbee Feat. Zelda Marshall – Breaking Her

‘Breaking Her’ is the more heavy offering of the two tracks with a 2-step inspired beat accompanied by lush delay’s and dreamy vocals. Again the vo- cal talents of ‘Zelda Marshall’ really hit home on this one, using the vocals sparingly gives the track space and room to breath. Lush piano riffs and eerie atmospheres glide between the beats while fx’s and reverbs used sparingly make sure your ears are glued to the speakers. This is our personal favorite and really shows how versatile this young producer is.

  • Integration Now

    Integration Now

The 2nd installment in the digital only series for ‘Solace Records’, shows Brazilian’s new up and coming bass music producer – ‘Integration Now’. Also, one half of ‘The Hybridz’ collab project with label partner ‘Stole’. ‘Integration Now’ brings us his first solo offering for the label in the form of a 4 track digital only E.P.

    Integration Now – Oblique E.P

The first track from the E.P – ‘Logic Of The Dark’, is just that. A dark endless journey thru lush meldoies, emotive pads and deep brooding bass. All strewn together over a loose 2-step rythym with layers of percussion and subtle reverbs.

Crunchy atmospheres and vinyl clicks build thru the intro as Indian riffs sweep in and out of the arrangement. Unorthodox beats and a percussion combo give the track a very middle eastern feel. Warm analog sub bass hums away underneath while the airy pads and delays give the track a great sense of space.

‘E2’ is the third offering on the E.P. This track is filled with loosely synced harmony’s that follow the sweeping 2-step beats and fills. Eerie atmospheres glide over the syncopated bass as the FX’s round off the crisp clean palette of sounds.

The final track is a very thought provoking piece of music. Something that reminisces of ‘Burials’ early works. Showing us how versatile he is ‘Integration Now’ gives us a big warped dub workout. Complete with complex beats and thunderous bottom end all layered together with his signature bleak harmonies. This track will keep you guessing right until the end.

  • eleven8

    eleven8

eleven8 is one of ‘Dubstep’s’ finest young talents, having released on some of the biggest labels, eleven8 is just starting to expand his sound while branching out into other genres including ‘d&b’ and ‘future garage’. Showing his versatility, ‘eleven8’ shows off his production skills in this release which incorporates elements of guitars, synths, dirty bass and clean crisp drums to show off what a seismic style this young producer has.

    eleven8 – Alone

‘Alone’ is the title track and has ‘eleven8’s’ signature sound strewn all over it. Tight razor sharp drums over a skippy time signature and brooding subs make this one a heavy affair. A very catchy vocal riff and driving atmosphere round off this intricate track.

    eleven8 – Remember Me

The aptly titled track “Remember Me’ is a tribute to a friend of ‘eleven8’s’ that sadly passed away. On first listen you can hear the meaningful melodies of the guitars and the emotion ‘eleven8’ really has passed into this track. A very soft track with deep meaning but don’t be fooled; the baseline is still perfect for rattling any club sound system.

    eleven8 – Scythe

The flip ‘Scythe’ is reminiscent of something from an alien mothership. Complex beat patterns and punchy mid range bass take the listener on a wonderfully dimly lit journey into the depths of electronic music. A track that is perfect for a late night rave but still subtle enough to listen to on your iPod.

  • Bulb

    Bulb

The amazing Russian music master – Bulb, delivers his 2nd solo offering for Silk in the form of a five track E.P. Vocals feature heavily on this release with all tracks apart from two getting the vox treatment as Bulb shows us his versatility and song arrangement skills. All vocals are sung by like minded Russian artists, which give the E.P a very magical feel. As a bonus the 5th track is a free giveaway on our soundcloud page.

Bulb – Buried Future E.P (Preview)

The first track of the E.P – ‘1000 Light Years Between Us’, features the sublime and dreamy vocal talents of Tiiu. The vocals are used sparingly and sit perfect between the spaced out chords, melodic leads and clicky percussion. A 170bm workout with enough bass to really work on the floor!

‘Not An Angel’ is a jazz inspired track that utilizes the vocals of Russian dubstep artist – ‘Marina Faib’. A catchy vocal hook coupled with glistening harmonies really brings out the best in her voice. Big sub and midrange keep the low-end moving while the track rounds off with a wicked groove layered with reverbs and razor tight percussion.

Again, the 3rd track uses the wonderful vocal talents of Tiiu. This track has a big cinematic feel to it with a verse-chorus arrangement and so, this is one of the more deeper exploits on the E.P. Playing a half-time rhythm, popping beats and percussion shimmer over intense strings and catchy melodies. Still, enough bass is present to make this track really go down well on any system.

‘Buried Future’ is the last track and rounds off the E.P nicely. This is Bulb’s solo effort and is aimed more towards the dance-floor. Filtered beats, layered percussion and a fast groove all sit over the top of deep chords and sensual pads. Melodies drift in and out of the arrangement underneath subtle atmospheres as delays and reverbs swish between the parts. Bass also is a major aspect of the tune with lots present in the lower frequencies.
